My Love is like a Red Rose

‘My love is like a red red rose’ is an 18th Century Scottish folk song written by Robbie Burns.

Izzy first heard this back in her college days at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama sung by a young Scotsman. When she graduated in 1998 her recording career began and in 2001 Izzy recorded My love is like a red red rose at Abbey Road Studios to feature on ‘Ascolta’. This song was also released as a single for the European territories and was complimented by a video made in Cardiff on Nash Point to be played on ClassicFM TV worldwide.

As Izzy’s signature tune, she has a strong connection with the lyrics and feels that it speaks of love, one’s vigorous Spirit and the eternity of life.

Her video of ‘My Love Is Like a Red Red Rose’ remains one of the most played videos on U.K. Classic FM TV radio to this day.
